I am a second year Ph.D. student and a Research Assistant with a specialization in data science in the Department of Information Science at the University of North Texas, I am also the Lab Manager of UNT Intelligent Information Access Lab (IIA). I am advised by Prof.Jingping Chen and also working with Prof.Junhua Ding. Now, I am also the reviewer of two peer review journals named The Electrical Library and IEEE Access.
Currently, my research interests include medical information retrieval, text mining and big data analysis, mainly focus on using natural language processing and machine learning techniques. Right now, I am working on projects include precison medicine, knowledge graph evaluation, and medical concept normalization
Before coming to UNT, I earned my Bachelor of Science from Central China Normal University and my Master of Science from Wuhan University, China, both in Information Science. During my graduate career, I worked with Prof.Wei Lu in the Information Retrieval and Knowledge Mining Laboratory. I have taken part in three research projects on citation analysis funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. I have also published several articles related to citation analysis, automatic summarization.
